These are what have inspired my most recent collection of batik silk wearables.
My process is to begin by designing the actual shape of each garment, with an eye towards that
which will flatter and move with the body. Preferring to work with sheer silks such as chiffon
and organza, I combine multiple dyebaths with a "painterly" method of batik to produce each
original piece. Sometimes my pieces end up on the wall- in either event, on the body or the wall-
it pleases me that they are enjoyed.
